Still No Word on Fossett

The headlines are turning grimmer for Steve Fossett, the adventurer and pilot who's been missing in the Nevada desert since Monday.

Fears Mount for Missing Fossett, says the BBC. Rescue Crews Find No Sign of Missing Adventurer, announces The Washington Post. Vanishing of Aviator Puzzles Many says The New York Times, dipping into the gerund jar. And -- a bad sign -- psychics are phoning in.

There's still hope. Billionaire Richard Branson is apparently using Google Earth to hunt for Fossett.
