Heath Ledger Found Dead
Stunning news from New York: actor Heath Ledger, the star of the movies Brokeback Mountain and A Knight's Tale, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Tuesday afternoon.News reports say Ledger was found unconscious about 3:30 pm by a housekeeper and a masseuse who had arrived for a scheduled appointment. No cause of death has been announced, but The New York Post is reporting that Ledger "apparently overdosed on anxiety pills."
[Update: An autopsy on Wednesday was inconclusive as to the cause of death, according to the Associated Press. The AP says that toxicology and other reports will take another 10 days. Various news sources have quoted police as saying the death appears to be accidental.]
Ledger was already getting buzz for his role as The Joker in the latest Batman film, The Dark Knight, due out this summer.
The actor leaves behind a daughter, Matilda Rose, born in 2005; her mother is the actress Michelle Williams. Ledger and Williams met while filming Brokeback Mountain. They never married and separated late last year.

My heart breaks at the news of his death. My daughter and I both love his movies. We know every word that he and Julia say to each other in "10 Things I Hate About You". My condolences to his family and child. He will live in our hearts forever.

One of the few young actors that I have had nothing but respect for! I still love "10 Things I Hate About You" and he made that movie the success that it was/is. He brought a special sort of class to every movie he made! I feel for his daughter. He will be missed!

Ive only just heard the news and cannot believe it. He was such an amazing actor and seemed to be such a great lovely down to earth guy.
Not only is he going to be sadly missed and never forgotten by anyone in 'show business' he leaves his family behind with empty broken hearts.

I think this is a sick publicity stunt for the Batman movie coming up. You watch, he will show up at the premiere with some lame ass story about why, and all of you dumbasses will forgive him. How stupid you will feel when the truth is revealed.

omg im soooo sad i love him i just wached a movie he acted in and then swiched the channel i was like i dont wanna wach that. the next day i found out he died omg i feel bad even though i dont know the actor :(
i hope he rests in peace he was a verry nice actress and will be missed verry much :(

Ok NYC Reporter you need to put on nyour big kid panites and grow up. By far one of the greatest actors of our time has just passed. I know I will truly miss him and my condolences go to his family, and especially to his daughter. We love you Heath and may you forever rest in peace.

I was very sad to hear about the death of this young man, it's amazing that we can watch these actors on screen and idolize them, yet never actually know anything about how bad they can feeling inside, I guess thats what makes them good at what they do. I hope his family and friends are coping and the press give them the space to grieve.

What a real disaster!! Regardless that he is an amazing actor who had unforgetable achievements, he is after all 28 years old having a baby..He has that angel face with lovely smile. Rest In peace. The good thing is that I can keep seeing him just by looking to my cousin, he really looks like him.
I believe that he is a much stronger person than suiciding.

It still shocks me to see an article about heath ledger death, just really hard to believe it at times. To me he was one of those actors that you always look forward to seeing another movie to come out with him in it. I pray that his daughter Matilda does have some memory of him when she gets older, she needs to know her daddy. Michelle, my prayers are with you. Dear Heath, you will definately be missed.
i still cant believe it when i read in magazines about Heath Ledgers death. When my husband first told me I thought that he was just saying that, then i found out it was true. He was just one of those great actors you always looked forward to seeing in another movie. Matilda is so young, I just hope she can remember her daddy.
