Heath Ledger Autopsy Report

Actor Heath Ledger died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, according to a report by the New York medical examiner's office.

The Associated Press quotes the examiner's office as saying Ledger died of "acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine."

The AP helpfully breaks that down into brand names: "The painkiller OxyContin, the anti-anxiety drugs Valium and Xanax, and the sleep aids Restoril and Unisom."

Newsday reports that "Oxycodone and hydrocodone are narcotic painkillers. The other four drugs have sedative effects and are used to treat a variety of symptoms including insomnia and the anxiety that accompanies clinical depression."

Hollywood will never find anyone as talented as him. It's a shame someone so thought of can just die out of nowhere. Hes very well missed, and I wish he weren't gone..

I just saw "The Dark Knight" this past weekend and I can guarantee you that Heath WILL win an award for his role as "the joker"! That had to be one of the best performances I have ever seen! I do know if the role would have to come under "best supporting actor",since he was not top billing, or the "star" of the film, but what I saw, he should be. He will be remembered at the oscars with an award for this part, and I hope it's best actor!

wow. i hate to seem like a crazy person but i think he had a reason why he killed himself. he was going through a divorce and his ex-wife wouldnt let him see his little baby girl anymore and she shipped her off to switzerland or somewhere over there. so i definetly can see why he'd kill himself. i also understand how he felt.
