Barack On 'Black'

"The notion that it is of great advantage to me to be an African American named Barack Obama and pursue the presidency, I think, is not a view that has been commonly shared by the general public."

-Barack Obama on Wednesday.
Obama was responding to comments made earlier by Geraldine Ferraro, the 1980 vice-presidential candidate. Ferraro told the Torrance (CA) Daily Breeze that "if Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept."

While denying that she had said anything wrong, Ferraro resigned Wednesday from her unpaid position as a member of Hillary Clinton's campaign finance committee.

i don't know really anything about Obama, but i think the person who wrote this is being racial towards Barack Obama and i don't like it.
