It is a new age guys... get over it.
It's not about Bristol or Levi. Who cares.
Seriously. I am all for a woman stepping up to the plate. I am a women and i am proud to know we have arrived. However, true this is not about Palin's kids but one has to wonder the life style of a VP. You wont get these years back while your kids are going up without you. Unless she plans on schooling them on the road. I feel sorry for her as a mom and jugling all that we do and now she is adding the entire country to her plate that is going to be a lot. You cannot give 100% to your family and 100% to your job when your job is 24/7/365 for 4yrs. The only way this will work is by hiring a nanny/mom and we all know how that story will end.
I believe that the kids should be kept out of the spotlight but in my work I know that the children are always the victims of the parents lifestyle. Also if this was Obama's daughter would the world be so understanding. I think not we still live in a double standard society.

i agree with one of the other poster being vp is a 24/7/365 job much like being governor. however, i don't feel sorry for her; she made the choice. i will point out that perhaps being vp will not make much difference in the kind of parent she is; she may have already shown use that she had rather be in the spotlight than take care of her teenage daughter. pretty neat, becoming a new mom and g'mom in the same year. maybe she justs wants a way out of being a mom and becoming vp will do that for her. she will then be a vp instead of a mom and then we really can leave her kids, an perhaps even her husvband, out of the media as they will no longer exist as a part of life. then she and the repubs will have to find something else to grouse about.
sarah palin...big mouth, no comparison to truly accomplished women...soap-opera life...no class parading pregnant daughter and boyfriend...hope democrats will ignore her...republicans can't...am a lifelong republican..am disappointed with mccain...win at any cost...ticket has lost my vote and that of my friends
Much as I love a woman to be a VP or President,is she proud of what her daugher did? getting pregnant at 16? and dragging her with her boyfriend into public on the trail.Just because you are pro-life is that an acheviement for her to be pregnant?please explan how you are going to be a mother and grannie with the whole country on your head 24/7/365 dys.I know you will end up getting a nannie to do your motherly job and also grannie. Please kindly explain to us how you will do this.
this chalk on a blackboard voiced Rosanne wannabe needs go go home and raise her dog goned baby. For real. McCain lost my vote when he chose this major drama queen. Turned the GOP convention into something akin to Jerry Springer. Any woman who lets her life go and ignores her kids so far that her 16 year old gets pregnant and then wants my support, well forget it. And has anyone noticed the woman lets everyone else in the world hold the infant? Who would drag a baby on the campaign trail around all those potentially sick people and a freaking universe of germs? God, sky hook this wench off the freaking TV!
Being a mom myself at 16, my heart aches for Palin's daughter. I have great parents and they were very supportive of my decision but will Sarah be there for her daughter when she is scared or unsure or will she be off doing some VP thing? I not proud of the choices I made when I was 16 but I am proud to have kept my son and he is a soldier in the Illinois National Guard serving in Afghanistan. My best to her daughter!
It is disturbing enough that her daughter is pregnant at sixteen. True or not...I have heard rumor that her youngest son (4 mos. old) is actually her daughter's first baby. Her daughter was sick from school with "mono" the last five months of her pregnancy. Gov. Palin did not announce her "pregnancy" until she was 7 mos. Also, she claimed that her water broke while she was a public convention. Instead of going to the closest hospital, she drove to one more than 40 miles away. Seems like it could be more than coincidence.
Get over it people! Not many people have been affected by a family member that has become pregnant before getting married. If they marry at all.
The Palin's are human just like the rest of us. Just because they are in the public spotlight do we scrutinze their lives. Get over it people. We live in a modern world where teens get pregnant all the time. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. You can teach your children the right and wrong of things but you can't make them live it. You can not be with them 24/7/365. I think Sarah Palin is just like any of the other mothers in this world. Get off her back and her childrens.
There is so much talk about getting a woman into the White House. So many mean words and ill talk about a family. Why do people and even the political canidates have to mud sling to get votes. Say what you stand for and what you will do for out country, thats what I want to hear. And to continue a rumor just helps it spread. Lets put it into a blog so it gets further attention. Why even start such rumors? bffchAlot of people home school their children and alot of mothers work these days. I see a father and children standing by their wife and mother, a family united, with problems just like the rest of us. Why not blog about the good things people do and not just the bad? Why not try to see a bright side? Its easy to sit back and judge this woman and her family. Take a look at your own lives and if they are perfect and you have made no mistake then throw your stones. McCain picked who he thought would be a good choice. Maybe a females perspective on this world will be refreshing. So far men havent done such a good job.
While I too would like to see a women in the White House, I honestly don't believe that Palin is the right choice. I would be the first to agree that she appears to be a nice person. But every nice person with a pregnant daughter is not ready to take over the country. Everyone seems so anxious to put a women in the White House, that they are willing to put in anyone. Palin is no substitute for Hilary. Palin needs to stay at home and be a mother to her children and try running her own home effectively. Yes, her daughter is pregnant and many teens end up pregnant these days. But, that doesn't make it right. What message is this sending to today's youth? That it's okay to get pregnant? After all the future VP's daughter did. Then to put on the charade of the young happy couple and their plan for teen marriage is ridiculous. We all know that most teen marriages end in divorce. I felt sorry for her daughter who obviously was trying to hide her tummy with the baby blanket. I shudder to think of Palin in the White House if something were to occur to McCain. In her interview with Gibson, it was obvious that she was rehearsed and lacked knowledge on several topics. She is totally in denial about her abilities to run the country. Instead she would rather sacrifice her daughter for her own personal gain. What was McCain thinking? Is this an example of future decisions he plans to make? Then he pretends he knew everything about her personal and political situations. I am sorry! His choice of VP has costed him my vote.
Everyone is forgetting that there is a father in the Palin household. What about him? Cant he get his house "under control"? We all know mothers are good at juggling things. I tip my hat for Sarah getting this far. We all make laspses in judgement. I do not think it was Sarah's lack in judgement that got her daughter pregnant, not her family values, it was Bristol's.
If Sara Palin was not running for Vice President, her daughters pregnancy would be no big deal to the public.
So, please let her daughter have her life in peace.....
Did you ever think this is "gods plan"

Wow, Has anyone stopped to think that Hilliary Clinton had a family to raise while she was in politics and Law. I haven't heard anyone slam her. Im sure she was not a stay at home mom. So leave Sarah alone. If she has a big heart there is room there for her family and her country.
Many people are blogging in that everyone makes mistakes and that people should not judge this womans daughter for being pregnant and unwed. I believe this issue is being ignored here. It is about judgement and hypocrisy. This Palin fought against sex education in schools, and cut the budget for a Covenant house program that would allow unwed teen mothers to live with their infants until they graduated from high school. Bear in mind that she and her kids and husband have Health Care benefits. She is a lying hypocrit. She is using the baby like a wind up doll in order to get votes. Has she no scruples at all? How would anyone in their right mind elect this clueless, cruel selfish person to an office one step away from the Presidency?
