Come on, Oscar usually loves controversy, it sells tickets. Christian Bale is just like every actor/human dealing with pressure. Just with the added bonus of trying to keep his feet grounded amongst the fame and fortune. Whether, in a hotel room, out of rehab, or in someones's face having a melt-down -everyone deals with it their own way.

I think he is a very serious actor who got a little obsessed with perfectionism in the light of his HUGE spotlight of late because of Batman. Maybe he puts extra pressure on to be better now that Heath got the actual limelight when HE was supposed to be the leading actor? Maybe he has done many films that received great reviews, just never got any real accolades himself even though people probably liked the movie in large part because of his acting-I know I can't tear my eyes away when he is on the screen. sigh.

Well, just a guess. Anyway, leave him alone. He's the hottest thing in town, super talented/versatile and with creativity sometimes comes great sensitivity. The light man was obviously goading him... Christian lost it-rude and wrong sure- but the guy kept egging him on instead of walking away. come on. Just because he's a star, noone has any sympathy for him. I bet it's kinda lonely at the top! - Devil's Advo-cat
