Clémence Poésy
Actor
Clémence Poésy played Fleur Delacour, a rival to young wizard Harry Potter, in the 2005 film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. A wispy blue-eyed blonde from a theatrical family, Poésy was not unknown to British audiences: she had played Mary, Queen of Scots in the 2004 BBC miniseries Gunpowder, Treason and Plot. As Delacour in Goblet of Fire she takes part in the Triwizard Tournament, along with Harry (played by Daniel Radcliffe), Viktor Krum (played by Stanislav Ianevski) and the always dashing Cedric Diggory (played by Robert Pattinson). Poésy has also appeared in the French films Olgas Sommer (2003), Bienvenue chez les Rozes (2003) and Le Grand Meaulnes (2006), and in the dark comedy In Bruges (2008, as love interest to Colin Farrell).Extra credit: Reports of Poésy's birth year vary; however, in a 2004 interview with the BBC, she reported celebrating her 21st birthday while filming Gunpowder, Treason and Plot in 2003... Poésy and her character did not appear in the fifth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007).
