Heidi Klum Biography
Already one of the best-known international fashion models of the 1990s and 2000s, Heidi Klum became an even bigger star when she began hosting the fashion-based reality show Project Runway in 2004.
Klum first came to popularity in America thanks to her lingerie-clad appearances in the Victoria’s Secret catalog. She made a bigger splash when she appeared on the cover of the 1998 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. She also dabbled in acting, appearing in the movie Blow Dry (2001, with Josh Hartnett and Rachael Leigh Cook) and making regular appearances as herself on the Michael J. Fox sitcom Spin City.
In 2004 she began hosting the cable TV series Project Runway, a reality show in which budding fashion designers compete with each other and are judged by a panel of experts led by Klum. The show was a major hit and ran through 2017, also spawning a number of spinoffs and imitators.
Klum has also been a judge on America’s Got Talent since 2013.

Heidi Klum became an American citizen in 2008… Heidi Klum was married to stylist Ric Pipino from 1997 until their divorce in 2002… She was married to the British soul singer Seal (real name Sealhenry Samuel) from 2005 until their divorce in 2014. They have three biological children together, and Seal also adopted Klum’s daughter, Leni, from her previous relationship with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore… Heidi Klum married Tom Kaulitz, guitarist for the German rock band Tokio Hotel, in 2019.
