Marie Trintignant
Actor
French movie actress Marie Trintignant was nominated five times for the César award, but she was just as famous as the daughter of director Nadine Trintignant and actor Jean-Jacques Trintignant. She was in the movies from the age of four, and by the late '80s and '90s came into her own as one of France's most popular character actors. Her films include La Terrazza (1980); Une affaire de femmes (1988); Wings of Fame (1990); Betty (1992); Les Marmottes (1993); and Le Cousin (1998). While filming a movie in Lithuania, Trintignant suffered a fractured skull after "blows to the head." She was moved to Paris, where she died after several days in a coma. Her boyfriend, rock star Bertrand Cantat of the group Noir Desir, is suspected of having killed her during an argument in their hotel room.Other French actors of Trintignant's era: Marie Gillain, Catherine Deneuve, Isabelle Huppert and Anne Parillaud.
