Miranda Cosgrove is the cheery, brown-eyed actress who stars as Carly Shay in the interactive Nickelodeon series iCarly. Cosgrove was three when she began modeling for newspapers and print ads, and a few years later she was discovered by a talent agent while singing at a Los Angeles restaurant. Soon she moved into the movies, most notably playing Summer Hathaway, the smart nerd who manages the band, in the comedy School of Rock (2003, with Jack Black). At the same time she became a regular on the cable channel Nickelodeon, starring as Megan, the annoying little sister on Drake and Josh (2004-07, with Drake Bell). Nickelodeon then gave her her own tween series, iCarly, with fans encouraged to send videos and story ideas for use on the show. Her single "Stay My Baby" was a hit on the 2008 iCarly soundtrack album.
