Paolo Montalban Biography
Paolo Montalban played Prince Charming in the 1997 TV version of Cinderella, co-starring with pop singer Brandy and comedian Whoopi Goldberg. He later won a lead role in the TV show Mortal Kombat (1998-99) and was named one of People magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People of 1998.
Paolo Montalban emigrated to the United States from the Philippines when he was age 1, according to a 2011 story in the New Jersey Star-Ledger, and began acting while at St. Peter’s Prep School in New Jersey. He graduated from Rutgers University in 1993 with a degree in psychology before taking up acting professionally.
His films include American Adobo (2001), The Great Raid (2005), Just Wright (2010) and The Girl Who Left Home (2020). He has also made some low-key appearances on Broadway: in 2013 he played Rusty’s Servant in a short-lived Broadway adaptation of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and he has also appeared in Pacific Overtures and The King and I.
