Victoria Beckham (then Victoria Adams) was an original member of The Spice Girls, the British pop supergroup of the 1990s. Victoria was "Posh Spice," the elegantly haughty member of the ensemble. (The other four members were known as Baby Spice, Sporty Spice, Scary Spice and Ginger Spice.) She married football (soccer) superstar David Beckham in July of 1999. The two quickly became one of Britain's most celebrated couples, with their every move followed by paparazzi and their home jokingly known to the tabloids as "Beckingham Palace." The Spice Girls disbanded in 2001 and Beckham released the solo album Victoria Beckham the same year, followed by a succession of singles. Her autobiography, Learning to Fly, was published in 2001.
Extra credit: Beckham is 5'6" tall... The Beckhams' first son, Brooklyn, was born on 4 March 1999; he is named for the American city where he was conceived... A second son, Romeo, was born on 1 September 2002, and a third named Cruz was born on 20 Feburary 2005.
