Ben Barnes Biography
Ben Barnes was plucked from a stage production of The History Boys to be the star of the Disney 2008 movie version of C.S. Lewis‘s book The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. A graduate of London’s Kingston University (2004), Barnes started out with a boy band called Hyrise and played a bit part in the fantasy film Stardust (2007, starring Robert DeNiro). While on stage in The History Boys, Barnes caught the notice of a casting agent who led him to an eleventh-hour audition for Prince Caspian, the big-budget sequel to The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005). Tall, dark and power-chinned, Barnes landed the role and signed on for a reported three-movie deal as Prince Caspian. His other films include Easy Virtue (2008, opposite Jessica Biel) and Locked In (2010, with Eliza Dushku).
