Facts about Devon Werkheiser
Devon Werkheiser Biography
Devon Werkheiser starred for three seasons on Nickelodeon TV as Ned Bigby, the title character of the comedy Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide (2004-07).
Werkheiser began his acting career in regional theater in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
He made his big-screen debut as Mel Gibson‘s son in the 2002 feature We Were Soldiers, then his family headed to Hollywood so Devon could make a go of it as an actor.
The next year he landed the role of Ned, a somewhat savvy pre-teen student at the fictional James K. Polk Middle School.
Ned gave tips to the viewing audience on navigating the turbulent waters of adolescence, and got caught up in ridiculous adventures with his best friends, Moze (a girl) and Cookie (a boy).
By the end of its run the show was a hit on the cable network and Werkheiser was the star of a Nickelodeon movie, Shredderman Rules (2007).
He has since popped up here and there on TV and in the movies, doing the voice of Shroom Dog #2 in the feature Marmaduke (2010), having a 7-episode run on the TV series Greek (2011) and co-starring in the thriller Beneath the Darkness (2011, with Dennis Quaid).
