Aaron Carter, age 13, wearing… U.S. Army clothing?

Aaron Carter performs on stage at PNC Arts Center in New Jersey on August 18, 2001. Aaron Carter was born in December of 1987, so he turned 14 later this same year. Not to harp on this -- we‘ve talked about it elsewhere -- but why is he wearing baggy U.S. Army clothing? He won‘t even be old enough to enlist for another four years. There are military bases in New Jersey, maybe he (or at his age, his management team) believed that this was a salute to the troops, but it just looks silly. Military service is serious business and a worthy pursuit. Let‘s not cheapen it by having pop stars and NFL players prancing around in camouflage.
