Eddie Murphy: The enormous head from ‘Meet Dave’

A 15-foot tall replica of Eddie Murphy's head, complete with brushy mustache, is placed in Times Square to promote the release of his 2008 film Meet Dave. This was in New York City, on July 4th, 2008 -- hence the star-spangled costumes on the Eddie Murphy head attendants. The giant head ties in with the plot of the movie, which (per Wikipedia) is about "a spaceship that resembles a human (Eddie Murphy), controlled by 100 tiny humanoid aliens. Its captain (also played by Murphy) pilots the spaceship from the command deck located in its head."
