George Reeves as Superman

George Reeves (right) as Superman, stands with his arm around Noel Neill (as Lois Lane) in the TV show The Adventures of Superman. He is, shall we say, not quite as trim and muscular as we're used to seeing in our modern-day Supermen. The Adventures of Superman ran in syndication from 1952 to 1957. George Reeves was born in 1914, so he turned 38 the year the show began its run.
