This was on March 26, 2007 at The Marriot Marquis hotel in New York City, USA. Jay Bakker is the son of evangelist couple Tammy Faye Bakker and Jim Bakker. Jim Bakker was convicted of fraud and sentenced to 45 years in federal prison; the sentence was reduced to 8 years and he returned to televangelism, hawking end-of-the-world foodstuffs to willing believers. That doesn't bear *directly* on his son, Jay Bakker, but... y'know. Still, good for him for supporting GLAAD! His late mother, also a staunch supporter of gay rights, would be proud.
