Joan Fontaine grabs her Oscar
It's photo time at the 1942 Academy Awards! Joan Fontaine won the best actress Oscar that year for her role as a (appropriately) alarmed wife in the Alfred Hitchcock film Suspicion. She is joined by, from left: Gary Cooper (best actor, Sergeant York), Mary Astor (best supporting actress) and Donald Crisp (best supporting actor). Note the tiny li'l award they gave to the supporting actors in those days.
