Johnny Carson, host of "The Tonight Show," poses as Carnac the Magnificent, a bogus seer whose humorous psychic powers always got laughs from the audience. At left is Carson's longtime sidekick, Ed McMahon. Johnny Carson hosted "The Tonight Show" for 30 years, from 1962 - 1992, and Carnac was one of his recurring bits.
