Sometimes these photo captions are from events with very long names, and on this day Sam Smith found himself in the middle of one of them: the "Pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons with Clive Davis Honoring Martin Bandier." Phew! This event was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on February 7, 2015. The event really should have been honoring Sam Smith: he won four Grammy Awards that year, thanks to his 2014 album In the Lonely Hour. Take that, Martin Bandier, whoever you are!
