Stuart Sutcliffe

A photo of Stuart Sutcliffe as he appeared in 1960, photographed in Germany by his girlfriend Astrid Kirchherr. Sutcliffe was playing bass with The Beatles during their long run in Hamburg that year.

Sutcliffe left the band to attend art school the next year, and died of a brain aneurysm in 1962.
