Takeru Kobayashi, the 2006 winner of the Nathan's Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest, poses with a platter representing the 53 and three-quarters hot dogs he ate in a mere 12 minutes. (You can just see the three-quarters dog on the top of the pile, there.) Yes, it is unbelievable and a little gross that the ate this much food in so little time. This was on May 4, 2006, at Coney Island in New York City. Takeru Kobayashi was born in 1978, so he turned 28 the year this photo was taken. And what were you doing at age 28?
