Dr. Bruce Banner transforms into the bright green Incredible Hulk, in this promotional image from the popular TV show The Incredible Hulk, which ran from 1978-82. Per the character's history, Bruce Banner was a normal human physicist until his cells were mutated by a massive dose of gamma rays -- after which, he would transform into the rage-monster Hulk at moments of great anger or excitement. Actor Bill Bixby played Dr. Banner; muscleman Lou Ferrigno played the Hulk.
