Singer and model Nico died on this day in 1988. She was only 49 years old when she died. Nico was made famous in the late 1960s, thanks to her association with Andy Warhol and the Velvet Underground.
She was riding a bike on the island of Ibiza when she had a heart problem that caused her to fall and hit her head. She died of a cerebral hemorrhage. That’s what got Franklin D. Roosevelt, Marcus Garvey and WIlla Cather.
