Rahm Emmanuel’s missing finger

Rahm Emmanuel raises his hand to take the oath of office as Mayor of Chicago in 2011. The photo clearly shows how Emmanuel is missing part of the middle finger on his right hand. Emmanuel injured the finger on a meat slicer while working at a fast-food restaurant as a teenager; after the wound became infected, the finger was amputated at that knuckle.
