Actress Brittany Murphy is dead at age 32. She was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center this morning in “full cardiac arrest” and was declared dead shortly thereafter, according to KTLA.
Cedars-Sinai is the ER To the Stars, as we’ve noted before.
It’s been a typically busy month at the Cedars: Johnny Halladay, the “French Elvis,” was in a medically-induced coma there this week (he’s out of it now); David Hasselhoff, the “German Shatner,” was there at Thanksgiving after having some kind of seizure; and Kourtney Kardashian gave birth there just a few days ago.
Murphy’s news was less happy than Kardashian’s. (“I guess that’s the way it goes… one out and one in,” as Bogart says in Casablanca.) But she is in august company. Other celebs who were “declared” at Cedars-Sinai include Frank Sinatra, Johnny Carson, River Phoenix, and the Notorious B.I.G.
