Minnesota’s comedian-politician Al Franken got more votes in his challenge for Senator Norm Coleman’s seat. That’s what a three-judge panel said yesterday. Read about it here.
The election was last November. Five months ago the contest between Franken, a Democrat, and Coleman, a Republican and the incumbent, was too close to call. In the mess to figure it out since then, things have been breaking Franken’s way. This last victory for Franken — they say he won by 312 votes — isn’t the end, however. Coleman said he’d appeal to the Minnesota Supreme Court. Until it’s decided, the seat remains vacant.
