Our friends at Answers.com asked us to look into the real age of Curtis Jackson, AKA 50 Cent. We have his birth year as 1975, while many other sources say 1976.
It’s hard to find many hard facts on Mr. Cent. His own official site, apparently not updated for awhile, has this to say: “50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson 26 years ago, is the real deal, the genuine article. He’s a man of the streets, intimately familiar with its codes and its violence, but still, 50, an incredibly intelligent and deliberate man, holds himself with a regal air as if above the pettiness which surrounds him.” Indeed.
However, upon deeper investigation we discovered a couple of articles about Mr. Cent celebrating his 30th birthday in July of 2005: one from MTV News about him being serenaded by the cast and crew while he was filming Get Rich or Die Tryin’, and one passing mention in USA Today:

The bottom line: we stand by 1975 as 50 Cent’s year of birth. And we hold ourselves with a regal air as if above the pettiness of the other sources which surround us.
