FDR head shot, age 54
President Franklin D. Roosevelt sits for a formal photographic portrait, taken on June 20, 1936. Later that year, FDR (as he was known) was elected to his second term as U.S. president. Franklin Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882, so he was 54 years old when this photo was taken. FDR was elected to unprecedented third and fourth terms in 1940 and 1944; he died in 1945, shortly after beginning that fourth term.
