According to this story from The Telegraph, we’re about to be bowled over at the cineplex by Abraham Lincoln. Abe Lincoln has been called the most famous of all the Civil War presidents.
President Lincoln was kilt in 1865, shot by John Wilkes Booth.
Now Mr. Lincoln is coming to the big screen, thanks to directors Tim Burton, Steven Spielberg and Robert Redford.
No, it’s not a three-way collaboration — although that would be something, wouldn’t it? Honest Abe will be showing up in three different movies sometime in the next year or two.
Tim Burton is working on Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, based on the novel by Seth Grahame-Smith.
Robert Redford is making The Conspirator.
And Steven Spielberg is making an as yet unnamed film about Lincoln. The biggest news on that project is the casting of Daniel Day Lewis as Abraham Lincoln.
