At that point, Alex Morgan was already a star for the U.S. Soccer national women's team, having scored two goals for the American side at the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2011. She went on to score two goals in the team's opening game against France in the 2012 Olympics in London. Alex Morgan was born in 1989, so she turned 23 in 2012.
