Andreas Lubitz was the co-pilot on Germanwings Flight 4U9525, which crashed in the French Alps on March 24, 2015, killing all 150 passengers and crew aboard. Cockpit audio from the plane's black box indicated that Lubitz was to blame. French prosecutors said in a news conference a few days after the crash that the audio showed that Lubitz "voluntarily began the descent of the plane" and remained in control until the plane crashed into the Alps less than 10 minutes later.
