Facts about Aubrey Plaza
Aubrey Plaza Biography
Actress and comedian Aubrey Plaza polished her deadpan delivery skills as a cast member of the TV sitcom Parks and Recreation (2009-15).
Along the way, Plaza also became an adventurous indie film star, with major roles in Safety Not Guaranteed (2012), Life After Beth (2014), Ingrid Goes West (2017) and Black Bear (2020, which she also produced).
Aubrey got her start in New York, interning and learning improv and drama at New York University, then performing with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater (2004).
As a comic actress, she appeared in dozens of quirky short films and web series until landing the role of a misanthropic intern in Parks and Recreation (with Amy Poehler and Chris Pratt).
Aubrey’s early film roles include the sorta-cult movie favorites Funny People (2009) and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010, starring Michael Cera).
Her other television work includes the series Legion (2017-19) and a recurring role in Criminal Minds (2016-2020).
