Booker T. Washington talks with a Kentucky governor
A photo of Booker T. Washington (left) and Gov. Augustus E. Wilson of Kentucky, taken in 1909. This was 28 years after Washington opened his famous Tuskegee Institute in Alabama. Wilson, a Republican, was governor of Kentucky from 1907-1911.
