Brigitte Bardot flashes her famous wavy blonde hair (and in this case, dark roots) as Eva in the 1959 film La Femme et le Pantin. (English titles were A Woman Like Satan and simply The Female. A literal translation to English would be "The Woman and the Puppet.") The film, directed by Julien Duvivier, starred Bardot as a beauty whose unreachable allure eventually humiliates the woman-chaser pursuing her. That constituted a movie plot in those days, yes.
