Charles Darwin and his amazing beard

A portrait of scientist Charles Darwin, early promoter of the theory of evolution. Darwin lived from 1809 to 1882, and he published his famous work The Origin of Species in 1859. The photo is undated, but if we guess that he was at least 60 when this photo was taken, we can place it sometime between 1869 and 1882.
