A Che Guevara portrait done in… phone books?
This portrait of Che Guevara was done in an unusual manner: the artist, Alex Queral, takes old paper telephone directories and carves them up with a scalpel to fashion pictures of famous faces. The method is quite effective, if also confounding. Ernesto “Che” Guevara (1928-1967) worked and studied medicine in various parts of Latin America before teaming up with Fidel Castro in 1959 to force a revolution in Cuba.
