Facts about Chloë Moretz
Chloë Grace Moretz Biography
Chloë Grace Moretz played the foul-mouthed tween heroine Hit-Girl in the comic book movie Kick-Ass (2010). Originally from Atlanta, she got into acting by way of her older brother. An aspiring actor, he went to New York to study performing, and Moretz and her mother went with him. Chloë caught the acting bug, and by the time she was six years old, she was in a major feature film, the 2005 remake of The Amityville Horror. She appeared in a few independent horror and thriller films, but also had roles in (500) Days of Summer (2009, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010).
She was the brightest light in Kick-Ass, and raised eyebrows because of the outrageous incongruity of adult words coming out of a child’s mouth.
Her other films include Hugo (2011, directed by Martin Scorcese), Dark Shadows (2012, directed by Tim Burton), Kick-Ass 2 (2013), the remake of Carrie (2013), the life-and-death fantasy If I Stay (2014) and the Denzel Washington action movie The Equalizer (2014).
