It's not clear why they should release a movie about Wimbledon in September instead of, say, just before or during Wimbledon in June or July. But then, we are not movie executives. Maeve Quinlan is a former tennis player, 10 years younger than Evert, who gave up tennis in favor of acting. Ironically, the non-actress Evert had a cameo in Wimbledon, while Quinlan did not appear.
