The Dalai Lama onstage in Toronto

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama speaks to an interviewer during a public talk titled "Human Approaches To World Peace." This was on October 22, 2010 at the at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada. The Dalai Lama was born in 1935. As his official site reports, he was born "to a farming family, in a small hamlet located in Taktser, Amdo, northeastern Tibet. At the age of two, the child, then named Lhamo Dhondup, was recognized as the reincarnation of the previous 13th Dalai Lama, Thubten Gyatso."
