As an aside, there's no logic to this, but: somewhere along the line we started to get Daphne Zuniga mixed up with Mayim Bialik, the Blossom star and later host of Jeopardy!. They did both star in popular TV shows, Bialik's Blossom and Zuniga's Melrose Place -- but beyond that, they really aren't similar in looks or style. Or even age! Zuniga was born in 1962, Bialik in 1975. So there truly is no good reason for it, but here we are.
Wait! Maybe what's *really* going on is that we're confusing Mayim Bialik with actress Danica McKellar of The Wonder Years fame: both starred on series starring youngsters, and both are brainiacs. (McKellar is a math whiz, Bialik has a PhD in neuroscience.) But -- here's the rub -- the dark-haired McKellar kind of *looks* like Daphne Zuniga in a vague way. So maybe we're making a bridge-too-far sort of quantum leap from Bialik to McKellar and then across to Zuniga. At least there's some logic to that, as improbable as it may seem. We're going with it.
