That date was, felicitously, 08/08/08. Viktoria Chapman (also known as Victoria Avila) was a former Russian model; the couple were married from 2001 until their divorce in 2009. Mr Chow, with its no-period spelling, is a longtime staple of the LA food scene. The eatery was immortalized by Steely Dan in its "Glamour Profession" lyric, "Meet me at midnight / At Mr Chow's."
