Ed Asner as Lou Grant

Ed Asner as the title character in a publicity shot from the 1977 premiere of his TV series Lou Grant. He played a former TV news editor who moved to Los Angeles to become the city editor of the fictional newspaper The Los Angeles Tribune. The drama ran for five seasons from 1977-82. Ed Asner was born in 1929, so he would have turned 48 the year this photo was released.
