Edvard Munch’s ‘The Scream’

This is Edvard Munch's The Scream (this version dated 1895). Norwegian painter Edvard Munch lived from 1863 until 1944, and he did multiple versions of The Scream: two pastels (in 1893 and 1895) and two paintings (in 1893 and 1910). There are also lithographs and other reproductions, of course. This 1895 pastel is "distinctive for the downward-looking stance of one of its background figures," according to Wikipedia.
