Facts about Elle Fanning
Elle Fanning Biography
Elle Fanning got her start in the movies by playing a younger version of her sister, Dakota Fanning, in the 2001 movie I Am Sam. (Dakota played Lucy Dawson at age 7; Elle played her at age 2.) A pale and willowy blonde youngster, Elle Fanning soon branched out into movies of her own, including the improbably successful Daddy Day Care (2002, with Eddie Murphy), the family drama The Door in the Floor (2003, with Kim Basinger), the drama Reservation Road (2007) and then taking the title role in Phoebe in Wonderland (2009). Elle Fanning co-starred in Sofia Coppola‘s 2010 movie Somewhere as Cleo, the winsome daughter who makes a surprise visit to her wastrel movie star dad (played by Stephen Dorff).
