What is going on behind Ellen Barkin?

Ellen Barkin looks perfectly normal at the Las Vegas premiere of Oceans 13 on May 6, 2007, and... wait, *what* is going on behind her? Who or what is standing on the edge of the red carpet, wearing a white wig (?) and a Roman (?) headdress and a red, uh, dress? This was at the Palms Hotel Casino; surely they don't put their employees in those getups? Yet that rig doesn't seem to have anything to do with Oceans 13, a heist film that's set in the modern day, not in the Medici-era Italy. Well, we're stumped. Perhaps we don't want to know.
