Heath Ledger IS Casanova

Heath Ledger (right) plays Lord Jacomo Casanova, the title character in the 2005 film Casanova. Sienna Miller is here playing Francesca Bruni, one of the women falling for Casanova's legendary wiles. The film was loosely based on the life of the real-life lothario Giacomo Casanova, whose life was, in turn, loosely based on reality. Casanova was released the same year as Ledger's film Brokeback Mountain, which earned much more attention and acclaim. Sadly, Ledger died of a drug overdose less than three years later, in January 2008.
