Henry Fonda

The film was a hit despite being a stretch in ages for the two principals: Ball was 56 years old, and Fonda 62, when the film was released. (And Ball's character gets pregnant in the course of the film!)

A 2005 remake of the film starred Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo in the Fonda and Ball roles.
