Henry Golding Biography

Henry Golding spent a decade as a TV host for Discovery Channel Asia and other Singapore-based programs until 2018, when he burst onto the Hollywood movie scene as the star of Crazy Rich Asians.

Golding was born to a Malaysian mother and English father and spent the first part of his childhood in Malaysia. After school in England, he ended up heading to Asia to break into the TV business.

His most notable TV program was probably Discovery Channel’s Surviving Borneo.

In 2017, Golding was the pick after a worldwide hunt to find the male lead for the film version of Kevin Kwan‘s bestselling novel, Crazy Rich Asians.

At the same time, Golding was picked to star with Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively in the mystery thriller A Simple Favor (2018). He also starred in the film Monsoon that same year.

A hit on social media, he married Liv Lo, a television presenter and also a hit on social media, in 2016.
